Warm Weather Finally.......

We've been busy as bees.  We've spent the last couple of months getting our house ready to put it on the market.  The house is now officially for sale.  We hope to sell it as soon as possible.  Now I face the impossible task of trying to keep the house as clean as poossible, so that it can be ready at a moments notice for showings.

We have also been enjoying the warmer weather that has finally shown up.  Lets just hope it lasts!!  The girls and I have been working on learning their lines for the Snow White play that they will be in on May 22.  I spent the morning yesterday making dwarf hats and belts and other props for the play.  We had a lot of fun last year with The Wizard of Oz, hopefully this year's play will be just as fun.

Double Trouble!!!!
So glad I don't have twins!

We finally finished up our "school stuff" for the year.  We will still be reading everyday and
doing multiplication and addition drills, but no more table time until September.  We really need a break.  I don't know how the school teachers and children do it, going all the way until the end of June.

We've been really busy getting our house ready to put on the market.  Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning and lots of cosmetic work.  If it ever warms up enough, we will get outside and paint and do a couple of landscaping projects.

The girls are practicing for their big gymnastics show in June.  They both love gymnastics so much.  This will be their first show, so we are all excited.  Hopefully, Spring will begin soon and we can get outside and have some fun.  We really miss the playgrounds and local parks.  After the coldest, snowiest (not sure if thats a word, but it should be)  winter, we are now having the coldest spring that I can remember.

Yesterday was Easter and we had a really good day.  We spent it with family and had lots of delicious food.  We did the annual egg hunt and the girls had a ball.

Happy Easter and Happy Spring!!!!!!!!!!!

Frozen February

We started our Spring semester of Co-op.  The girls are enrolled in some really great classes this semester.  Hannah is taking Myths & Legends, Life Science, Drama, and Nez Perce, through the Eyes of Kaya.  Avery is in the same classes except she is taking Animals around the World, instead of Life Science.

I am teaching the Nez Perce class and Drama this semster.  We are going to be performing the play, Snow White in May.  It should be a lot of fun.

These are pictures from our Valentine's Day Party

Hannah at Show and Tell

Avery right after she finished show and tell.  I only posted
this picture because I was so proud of her.  She was so nervous,
I didn't think she would participate.  She pushed herself and did it.
She was so quick, that I couldn't get her picture in time.

Avery with hers:

Hannah and Avery made these homeade chocolates for
Kevin and Me.  It was a Valentine's surprise.

These are the quilts that I made the girls for Valentine's Day.  They took a few months
to make, but were ready just in time.

We've been working hard in table time.  Avery finished her Kindergarten Math book
and started on First Grade already.  We are still working on reading, making progress all the time.
Hannah is working hard in her math book.  She's only do thrird grade math and I find myself having to review topics in order to remember them.  It's one thing to know how to do something, but sometimes trying to explain certain topics isn't so easy.  Hannah and Avery aren't the only ones getting an education, I feel like I am too.

Hannah and Avery have also been doing a lot of baking.  Hannah is at the point where she can read the recipe, gather the ingredients and measure everything herself.  They also each completed a sewing project.  They both made tote bags with minimal help.

The girls have been spending a lot of time outside in the snow.
They made this snow fort with Kevin
