Summertime Fun

Our favorite cousins came from VA for a visit.  They
enjoyed swimming together, even though the water
was still soooo cold.

Our last homeschool field trip of the semester.  We
took the kids to the Pequot Museum.  Unfortunately,
I couldn't get many pictures, because flash photography wasn't allowed.

The girls had one last sleepover at our house with
their best friends.

We went bowling on Avery's birthday.  It was her first time.

The whole family went to Canterbury Cones for Ice Cream

Hannah spent the week doing Vacation Bible School
Avery and I had to keep busy in Franklyn.
This is outside their library.  Avery and I love
this bench.

We've been so busy with summer activities and with packing
and preparing for the move.  Hopefully these pictures
can speak for themselves.

Lots of Fun.....

With the warmer weather comes lots of activity.  We've been enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.  Co-op ended for the semester.  We went on a field trip to Fort Trumbell with RAISE.  It was lots of fun and very interesting.  It was also very beautiful there.

At Fort Trumbell

Hannah and Avery have been using Kevin's golf clubs to hit balls in the yard.  It's something new for them and they enjoy it, so we decided to take them to the driving range.

Hannah had her very first sleepover at a friend's house and Avery had a friend sleep at our house the same night.  Both girls had a lot of fun.  We began the sleepovers by meeting at Mrs. Bridges Tea Pantry in Woodstock.  We had a little tea party of sorts.

Avery enjoyed the sugar cubes more than the
drinking chocolate that she had.

After the sleepover we all met at The Boxcar Museum in Putnam CT.  If you ever read The Boxcar Children; it is a must go to.  It was very interesting and was packed with local history.

I brought the girls to Hopeville Pond one afternoon.  It was our first time this year.

We had dinner at Mimi & Pop-Pop's one of the night's that
we had to leave our house for a showing.  Some cute pictures

they use it like a pool.

A beautiful sign of the approaching summer.

We had our COOP field day today.  The kids had a blast.  They played games, swam, and just enjoyed the warm weather.

Every year I take a picture of my rhododendron bush
It blooms in time for our anniversary.
When we got married we took tons of pictures of
Me and my Bridesmaids in front of it.  This year
it's even more special because we just sold
our house and we won't be here next year.
